¿Estado laico? Toma canonización
Yo no soy hombre de religiones, pero sí soy creyente y de fe. Creo en muchas cosas, quizás demasiadas: en el trabajo, internet, en algunas personas, en el software libre y en el amor… Pero mi fe, mi alegría, la ilusión, mis creencias, el contexto socio-cultural que me rodea se viene abajo cuando veo estas siglas: SGAE. No creo en una sociedad gestora de derechos que según parece tiene el poder de cobrar por las supuestas y futuribles perdidas que sus asociados puedan tener porque nosotros utilizamos soportes digitales. Es así de sencillo y así de extraordinario que esto ocurra, el tono de este artículo está, por desgracia, salpicado por supuestos y conjeturas por dos razones: la primera es que nadie sabe qué hace la SGAE, de donde viene, hacia donde va, qué hay detrás., etc. Sinceramente no me parece un organismo transparente, no me parece una empresa transparente, no me da buena espina y, por otro lado, y también por desgracia, sabemos de sobra la manera de actuar de la SGAE, que me gustaría saber cómo tienen la habilidad de estar incluso en el ultimo rincón u agujero del mundo oyendo cómo alguien incumple para denunciarle. No me gustaría provocarle más problemas a mi queridísimo director con una carta de la muerte de SGAE (por utilizar la simbología con el pantallazo de la muerte de Windows).
¿Me siento libre escribiendo este artículo sobre la SGAE? No, no me siento libre, incluso estoy un poco preocupado por todo lo que me gustaría escribir sobre ellos y no lo voy hacer, me preocupa el que esa empresa privada esté imponiendo un impuesto revolucionario a la cultura digital, que también tenga peso en el Gobierno, en la sociedad, en mi cabeza para que yo no me atreva a expresar lo que pienso: que esto es un robo prehistórico, feudal.
Me gustaría decir con libertad que nadie puede tener el derecho a cobrarnos de forma preventiva por un delito que vamos a cometer…¿solo a mi en este país le parece horrible y aberrante que esto ocurra? Seguro que no.
La presión de la SGAE sobre los internautas, sobre la red, sobre la sociedad digital se está convirtiendo en algo asfixiante, en algo violento de veras. A día de hoy podría escribir con total calma un artículo crítico sobre el Gobierno, sobre cualquier Gobierno. Hace unos años las trincheras del PSOE y sus lugartenientes se llenaron muy bien la boca con una palabra: No a la guerra preventiva, tenían razón, ahora ellos son los que de forma preventiva nos están cobrando por acusarnos de ladrones. Me entristece enormemente. Lo que más siento es tristeza, más de la mitad de mi vida la he pasado frente a un ordenador, nunca he cometido un delito frente a esa pantalla, nunca. Puedo decir que soy uno -como miles y miles- que colonizamos la red que existe ahora, somos pioneros en construir estas carreteras por las que la gente ahora se informa, se comunica y se culturiza. Es nuestra ciudad, nosotros la fundamos.
Yo desde aquí le pido al Gobierno, por favor, salvaguardar el futuro de la ciudadanía digital y de la cultura, del soporte de la cultura. Quiero seguir teniendo fe en lo que hago, quiero levantarme por las mañanas y seguir creyendo en mi profesión.
Por mi profesión, por la cultura, por el futuro, por la libertad y sobre todo, porque la cultura y la información llegue a todo el mundo: no a la SGAE, no a un Gobierno cómplice.
